I am trying to research ship, location and date for a story of Model-t's that went overboad a ship in a storm in one of the Great Lakes probably Superior, Huron or Erie (definetly not Michigan).
If anyone has any insight as to materials/books/site that might hold this type of info I would be greatful, thx!

You are probably referrinng to an incident on 11/30/1926 when the CITY OF BANGOR ran aground on Keweenaw Point. The CITY of BANGOR was carrying 230 automobiles at the time and several were lost overboard. However, the automobiles were Chryslers and not model T's.

That's interesting..that is one I didn't hear of...Chryslers. I am actually trying to verify family folklore. My grandfather was a captain on the Great Lakes and the story was the Model T's to save the crew. Would make a great story if it were true...but I'd rather verify it first! I know his ships and years, but haven't found anything to substantiate this story. City of Bangor was not one of his.
