I am planning a trip to the Czech Republic in July In preparation I have someone doing research for me there in czech. It seems we have all hit a brick wall. I have John 1847-1924 andMartin 1843-1896 and their decendents. They also had a brother James who went to Calif and I've followed him. I think there were also girls named Philomena,Marie, and Madeline. I have their parents as Josefa Baumrucker and Eva Oberdorfer.Martin Married Josepha (Josephine) Kalasch . Her sister Mary Kalasch married Martins Uncle Peter Oberdorfer. We can't seem to find anything to document anyone after they arrived in the US Do you have anything to connect them to the home town of Oplot for Martin or vienna for Kalasch?
The name was sometimes americanized as Kalas.
