Robison
Looking for the Date of Death for 2nd Lt. Roland R. Robison (Army Serial Number O1324288) of Crowley, Louisiana. It is believed 2nd Lieutenant Robison was the Platoon Leader for 3rd Platoon of Company "L" - 168th Infantry - 34th Division when he was seriously wounded by German '88 fire one afternoon on the Anzio Beachhead in Italy (sometime between late March 1944 and early June 1944). Robison's body was returned to the US after the war (1947 - 1949) for reburial, and may be buried in Acadia Parish. This information will be used to help complete the WWII Death Casualty list for the 168th Infantry (08-Nov-1942 - 30-Apr-1945). Any other information about Robison is appreciated.

Just scanned all the queries you have posted in your project. Sorry for the delay.
Volume II, pg. 185 of the Acadia Parish Cemetery Listings, compiled by our Pointe de l'Eglise Genealogical & Historical Society, provides that: Roland R. ROBINSON, born 24 Feb 1925, died 3 April 1944. He is further identified as a veteran of WW II and a member of the 34th Division. He is buried in the Maxie Methodist Church Cemetery, Maxie, LA.
We are trying to collect info on our military veterans from Acadia Parish, so I will make note of the information you provided us via your query.
Good luck in your efforts.
