I have a very detailed genalogy that begins in England in 1095 and ends in America in the mid-1800's. Part of it, I believe, covers the Joseph Kirkbride you mention, and appears to include people living in Bucks County, Pa. It runs to 18 typewritten pages, so e-mailing it is out of the question, but I'd be happy to mail a copy if you'd like.

Unfortunately for me, this line of Kirkbrides seems to be a separate branch from the one I'm in. The earliest ancestor I can identify is John, born in 1778 or 1780, who also appeared to live in Bucks County. He and some or all of his seven children moved to Fulton County, Illinois, I'm guessing in the 1840's. This included my great-great-grandfather, Eliakim. Any information you may have on this line would be approciated.

I am compiling every Kirkbride from every record in existence. I already have nearly 7000. I would love to include the 18 typewritten pages.

Please let me know how I may obtain this information.

I am descended through Lewis Kirkbride who was born in Monroe or Belmont county, ohio ca 1820. His son Martin, born in 1840 was my gg grandfather; his son John, born in 1865 was my g grandfather, son Peter Lloyd was my (born 1887)grandfather; his son Dale Revere, born in 1916 my father. I was born in 1940. The census record of Ohio gives a pretty complete record to this point, but I was stuck on anything beyond Lewis. Although the age is a little off, I found a record of Martin serving in 1st Ohio Light Artillary, Co K in Civil War. I have a pretty complete tree of Lewis to me if you are interested.

Hello,
I have a Lydia Kirkbride who married John S. Landes. They were married in 1869. John was the son of Lewis Landes and Maria Reiff. Do you have any further info on this Lydia Kirkbride?

Thanks,

Have you any information on the Kirkbrides that lived in Salford, near Manchester,England. I am looking for info on Albert Kirkbride born 1886 at Salford, died 1954 at Sale. Brothers were William, John (died young); sisters were Blanche and Annie. Albert was an engineer and married Sarah Walker (born 1875, died 1925) of Carrickfergus, County Antrim, Ireland. They had one child: George Stephen Kirkbride born 27 August 1916 at Belfast, Ireland. Thanks.

Linda:

No, I do not have information on any of the Kirkbrides you mention. You might try the Family Tree Maker web site; I've found it by far the most visited and most helpful. good luck.

Began by checking Scotland for my roots - wound up here. First use of this media. My dad: Earle R. Kirkbride (1891-1967), Grandfather - ? - Great Uncle William (Bill) in W VA.
I understand there is a lot of family history at PA Genology Society (Phila) gathered by my Mom's brother (DeBonsal Hedley, d.)
Still looking fo Scotland roots - all help gladly accepted~~
Thanx,

I may be able to help you from Lewis back. But I am sure the Martin Kirkbride that served in the civil war is my 2x great grandfather, this would be why the date did not match. My Martin Kirkbride was son of Daniel Kirkbride and Eve Eddy.
I am pretty sure that the 2 Martins are either nephew & uncle
or cousins. I will check my records.
