John and Micajah Webb of Brunswick were the sons of Charles and Elizabeth Webb.

Charles left a will in Southampton, Va., in 1758 naming these sons. There was another son named Charles who lived in Sussex.

Elizabeth Webb died in Brunswick in 1774 and left a will.
We believe she was the daughter of Josiah and Faith Washington Barker. That's who gave them the land in Southampton.

John Webb was married to a Lucy. Micajah Webb of Fountain Creek was married to a Martha.

Micajah Webb's son Warren first married Cydney Jane Walton. She was a descendant of the Allens, Ledbetters, Rowes, Ruffins, and Simmons. That's where the Ruffin comes in - through Warren's wife.

Charles Webb of Southampton was a brother to Robert Webb, Jr., of Surry/Sussex. Their father was Robert Webb, Sr., of Surry and Isle of Wight. Records on Robert Webb, Sr., date from the late 1600s.

How are you connected to these Webbs? My mother was a Webb, descending from the John Webb above through his son Charles that migrated to the Union District of South Carolina by the 1800 cenus.

Hello Bob. My grandfather was a nephew of Cydney Jane Walton Webb. She and Warren came to Tallapoosa County, and Lee County, Alabama in the early 1800's. She and Ruffin Webb are buried at the Roxana Cemetery across the road from an OLD United Methodist church. Cydney Jane and Warren had a large plantation here, about 3,000 acres. Most of the family is buried in the old Webb Cemetery on the former plantation, which is in the woods now. Several of the Waltons, including Elizabeth Ledbetter Walton, Howell Rowell, her husband, William Isaac Walton, Simuel Roe Walton, some Ledbetters and Lees including children and grandchildren. I am looking for Isaac Rowe Walton, III., grave. He was a son of Isaac Rowe Walton, II., from Greensville, Brunswick County, Virginia. These relatives came down from Virginia in the early 1800's. I was visiting their gravesites only last weekend, and have pictures. You can email me if you wish at Bessaboo1212@aol.com.
