I have seen this Jane Dayberry several times in my research, but she has always been a puzzle to me. I know absolutely nothing on her. I don't have a clue where she fits in or where she comes from. I would be interested in anything you might know on her. All my Dayberry relatives also are from Rutherford Co, some of them are still there.

My grandfather was William G. Dayberry. At the time he met my grandmother, Leona James, he was living in Memphis, Tennessee. She was from Little Rock, Arkansas. They settled in Jackson, Mississippi, and had two daughters, Janice and Lois. My mother's maiden name is Janice Sue Dayberry. She may have more information on it. Her email is charleskburns@yahoo.com, I know she was working on something like this in the past and you may have been the one she was emailing.

Good morning, I have found your family listed in Bob Derryberry's book, "The Derryberry Families in America" as least back to Benjamin Franklin Derreberry born in 1804 Burke Co., NC. He would be your GGG Grandfather. Have you been in contact with Bob Derryberry? Your father and his father weren't listed. I'd be happy to send you what I have on your family. Thanks.

Nancy:

Better check your facts. Those Derreberry brothers did not cme from overseas. They were most likely born in NC to parents born in NC. I've heard that three brother tale so many times and each time it is a different set of brothers.
