At this time, I'm more interested in your heritage leading up to HENRY OLIVE. Most of the information following that time is on LDS. Have retrieved/or are still retrieving information dating back to the 300's. Depends on which Farwells you are from and who they married. Can you share your immmediate past generations back to Henry Olive?? Also what are/is your sources for information ?

I do have it on the ancestry file I downloaded to ancestry.com. Mine is on the third page it shows Olive and for her husband I put him as Dea Henry Farwell. The lines that I have developed are correct. Don't let anyone tell you else. The ancestral file doesn't have as much as I do. There is more but when I get a chance I will download as I go along. Michael
p.s. let me know if you get this

Received your answer about the info on Olive Welby Farwell. Will be fascinating reading I am sure. We lived in England for three years and at that time I was not interested in genealogy -- of, to be able to go back in time! Marilyn

Hello, Kim
My maternal grandmother was Winfry Farwell. Her father was Gladden Lefavor Farwell (his wife was Mary Cheatham). His father was Capt. John Farwell, and his father was a William (there were many). At any rate, they can be traced back to Henry and Olive. I have been to Chelmsford, Ma several years ago.Do you have access to The Farwell Family, a history in two volumes, pub. in 1929 fom records of John Dennis Farwell. My Farwell family migrated to Illinois. specifically Macomb. My great great grandfather John married Abigail Howland. I have been trying to find out where he is buried, but so far no success. I think in Carmi, Illinois. Did any of your family go to Illinois? I live in the state of Washington in a small town called Bickleton. Anyway, looks like we're little branches on a very big Farwell family tree. Jan

Janet -- My branch of the Farwell family is from Chicago, IL. We share two ancestors -- Henry and Ensign Joseph. While you are looking for Capt. John, I am looking for Capt James, also my g-g grandfather. He is somewhere in the Watertown, N.Y. area, but is downright elusive! Good luck.
