My grandfather was John Jackson Lilly from Osyka, Pike County, Mississippi he married Mary Amanda Gill. Children: Ellen, Stanly Isadore, Francis Ira, John Clifton, Martha, Catherine and Mary Kirk. My father was Stanly Isadore Lilly from Osyka and moved to Houston, Texas during the depression. I believe my grandfather had a brother James. I have just started my search as well. My gggrandfather came from Ireland.

My family:Great grandfather: Henry J Lilly;grandmother: May Irene Lilly Schilling. May had 2 brothers: James and John Jackson; 2 sisters that I am aware of: Ellen Davis and Laura . I knew Aunt Ellen very well. I also knew James Smiley's wife Clara who dies in the 50's. I remember my dad's Lilly cousins Martha and Mary coming to our house in Kentwood. Henry J and Mary Shields Lilly were Irish. Mary's parents were Augustus Forsyth and they had Smiley, Piney Woods Forsyth, Augustus Jr. Frances A and Isabella(Izzy). augustus was killed in the Civil War in Franklin Tn. I have visited his grave. Hope this helps but I can go no farther back with the Lillies but Henry J. abd Smiley. and no farther back on Smiley but to AW and Mary.
