The cemetery located on the corner of US 80 & Magee Rd.
Only part of the cemetery is kept up. The majority is grown up in brush and undergrowth. There is a CSA grave located there. I thought the Sons of Confederate Veterans could clean it up, but not yet.
I have current pictures of the condition.
Any suggestions on preservation?

Please email louisianacemeteries@yahoo.com with this information. This is the Louisiana Cemetery Preservation wiki_masters email address. There are other cemeteries in Ouachita that have been reported to Saving Graves in 2000.
You've done a great job already by getting photographs taken of the cemetery condition. If you can email those to louisianacemeteries@yahoo.com that would be great as these are necessary for proof of conditions and further action. There are a number of things that must be done first, like finding out who owns the cemetery property. You can search for information on cemetery preservation http://louisianacemeteries.angelfire.com . You can also upload those photographs here, by attaching a file below in a reply message on this message board. Depending upon who owns the property may dictate responsibility for this cemetery. The fact that it is currently in a state of disarray is a matter of concern. There are also transcriptions available for this cemetery from approximately 1993, although transcriptions were submitted in 2000 they were from a book published in 1993. Do you know who owns it?

Thank you for the reply. No, I don't know who owns the cemetery, yet. There is a family that has plots there in a small area that is kept up, I could find them and ask. I have researched cemeteries before at the local courthouse, now I work their same hours, but I have a plan for finding land ownership. I would like to clean it myself, but it's a task for more than one man. I will identify each photo before I send them in, that will help. Thank you again.

I had a class mate die April 15,1973, her name is Patricia Love and she was buried in Nash Cemetery west monroe, la. i can't find any information telling me where her plot is. all I have found out with my research is that there are 5 unmarked graves. I did locate a list of people buried in Nash Cemetery and she is not listed.I can't find out who is responsible for this small neglected place. If anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated.

I've talked to a descendant of the Nash, the cemetery is named after. He said that an older gentlemen that lives on that same road (Magee Rd)takes care of what is taken care of. I wish I could remember his name. sorry
What family is she from? Could it be that there are some of her kin that is under a different name, maybe her mother's maiden name?

Hello
I had surveyed that cemetery a couple years ago. there are a couple of graves that have no markers other than what the funeral home puts there. And if I remember correctly a couple of those Funeral Home Markers had the death date of 197?.
I dont live that far from that cemetery and if you'd like I can go back up there and try to see if I can find her.
