Unfortunately I don't have any information on the Everitts, but I am interested in James Everitt4 Clarke. I have been tracing my Birkett family line. His wife, Anna, is my greatgrandaunt. Do you know their address in Nashville? I have been trying to find them in the 1900 census, but have had no luck.

Best regards,

I am doing research related to the history of Maple Grove Cemetery in Queens and have discovered that the Everitts must have had a thriving undertaker business for many years during last quarter of 19th c. and into . I have been gathering bits and pieces of information about them and will be glad to share with you. I will be spending the next few days in the Queens Library and will probably have more after that.

I am also related to the "Jamaica" Richard b. abt 1613, Essex, England. I do not have any info on your John family but was curious if you had ever found any info on the English roots of Richard? Parents or siblings?

Thanks,

You are correct, I am unaware of any evidence as to where our Richard Everitt lived prior to Long Island. I am working on a notion that he may have been in a group of protestants who went to Leyden, Holland before immigrating here. If you are interested in my idea, please contact me at my email address.

I am wondering if you have any information to share on the Everitts that were undertakers in Jamaica as I am related to them.
