Have a cousin who has done extensive Porter research. Spoke to him this evening and he says he can track Porters back to the first one on American soil in 1640. Includes John and two Daniels. Says that one of the Porters was Gov. of Indiana, will this info help anyone? Will find a way to post this info so everyone can use it as soon as I get it

I have traced some of my relatives back to the Illinois/Indiana area, but I don't know how and when they arrived there. Your friend's efforts may be a big help to me. Please notify me when his research goes online. Thanks!
