Detroit House of Corrections

Hi,

I am trying to find out some information about the Detroit House of Corrections circa 1926. The inmate concerned was incarcerated in 1926. Ideally I am looking for some records which may list the inmates incacerated in mid-late 1926, their location, nationality and felony.

I presume the felony was committed in the US. It's such a long shot - I have no name to go by, only information that the inmate inpregnated a woman in Toronto, Canada and documents which state that the 'father' was incacerated in Detroit House of Corrections.

Any advice would be grately appreeciated.

Many thanks
