Surnames: Neal Thornton
Searching for information on B. B. Neal listed on 1860 census. What does B. B. stand for?

Has son T. F. Neal listed -- is this Thomas Frank Neal? If so, I believe this is my great great grandfather who married Sarah Louise Thornton.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I think he is actually B.R. Neel, for Benjamin Rufus Neel or Neal. He and several of his family are buried in the Friendhip Cemetery at old Haynesville. He married Mary Ann Entrekin.

In the 1850 census of Claiborne Parish there is a Phoebe Neel with daughters Mary Elizabeth and Frances Emma. I have wondered if they were related in some way.
