I'm looking for info about a Frank Hechtel that worked at this shop. There has to be someone who knows people from this place, back in 1915-1920.

I'm not related to this person.

World War I Draft Registration Cards, 1917-1918
Name: Frank Anton Hechtel
City: Detroit
County: Wayne
State: Michigan
Birthplace: New York, New York
Birth Date: 17 Jul 1897
father born - Brazil, South America
mother = Theresa Killian
has a defective right eye
works at Harmon Motor Co.
dated 8/24/18

Frank does not appear on any census 1900 - 1930.

I highly doubt that anyone who knew Frank would be alive today. They would be abt 110 or more!

I am Franz Anton Hechtl's biological granddaughter. Here's a couple of facts about him. He registered for the draft and was sent to the small engine school in Minnesota for a few months. His right eye was actually glass, thanks to a "William Tell" incident gone bad as a child. He worked for the "Harmon Motor" company, and then worked for the Hoover Vacuum company, from about 1919 to about 1930 when his health prevented him from working at all. In 1926, he legally changed his name to "Frank DuBarr" in Wayne County, MI. My father Eugene was born to him and Nettie Lucille Ingram in Detroit on September 15, 1930.
