I am searching for ancestry of a William (Billy)Mock, b. 08/01/1808 d.1885 AL buried in Covington Co., AL M. Sarah E. Smith.

I have a John Burns Mock born in 1877, married to Mary Harrelson in 1899. Did your Mock family stay in AL after the death of your ancestor? Have you heard this name before. I have had no luck finding any info at all on this family.

Have traced my family to William Mock, son of William Mock and Sarah E. Smith. Their children: Edward, Sarah Ann, Deliliah, William, Elizabeth, Mary Jane, George A., and Charles. Sarah Smith's parents: Abram & Delilah Smith
William Mock & Sarah Smith were from SC. Their children were all born in Covington County, AL. Family located in the 1860 AL Census, Covington County, Conecuh River PO.

Sarah E. Smith is sister to my ancestor Elizabeth Smith b. 1815 SC who married Andrew Jackson Hart. Trying to put the descendants of Abram & Delilah Smith's 3 daughters together.
The youngest sister Rachel Smith md Jacob Mock ( brother of William who md Sarah E. ) I have Jacob & Rachel's ch:
Margaret 1839, Abraham 1843, Jackson 1845, Delilah 1848 &
Tirra B. 1854.
Do you have anything on Rachel's family? Be glad to share Elizabeth's family.

I realize this is a very old thread, however I also am from this line of Mocks through George A. Have you been able to go back any further than Littleberry? I would be happy to share information with you.
