I was going through an elderly relative's newpaper clippings in Ontario and came across a partial article from an unidentified newspaper, discussing the contents of a Sir Alexander B. I could not find out much information about him on the internet, except for an earlier post on this message board talking about the death of his brother Allan in Glengarry ON, in Sept 1904.

I would like to eventually find out whether or not this is a relative. Any info about him would be greatly appreciated!

I have pictures of Emily Regina and Donald Henry McDonell children of Alexander McDonell who drowned when they were early teens. They were in possession of my ancestor Gertrude Leahy, one of the foundresses of the Polson Catholic Hospital. On the back of the photographs: Emily Regina McDonell (deceased) Beloved daughter of our very kind and generous Benefactor - hon. A. B. McDonell. Chippewa Falls, Wis. Hello Ruth,
We are creating a Historic Marker for the McDonell Memorial High School in Chippewa Falls. We would like to include photos of A.B. McDonell's family members because he donated the funds to build the school as a memorial to them. Would it be possible to receive digital photos of Emily Regina and Donald Henry McDonell from you?
