I'm from the Skinner line of New Lexington, Perry Co., Ohio... Samuel B. Skinner was the son of Nathaniel Skinner #2 and Elizabeth Harned> Samuel B. was (b) 28th May 1790 in Somerset Co., Pa. his death accured on the 25th of Jan 1853 in New Lexington, Perry Co., Ohio, first marriage was to Elizabeth Hazelton on 23 of June 1817 she was born 27th Dec 1793 in Westmoreland Co., PA & (d) 13 Aug 1867 in Clinton Co., Indiana.. She was the daugther of John and Barbara ?.. > > Samuel & Eliz children>

I might have info on Samuel Skinner. I have one in my family and I think I heard that his family moved to Ohio from Putney Vermont. I think it was at this time period.

Thank you for Skinner info. I am descendant of Jacob Hollenback b. 1771, d. 1845 Perry County, Ohio. buried New Lex Methodist Church Cemetery. His wife Susannah d. 1847 buried next to Jacob. I had her maiden name as Jones until recently when somebody said they were fairly certain her name was Skinner. Her will was witnessed by Samuel B. Skinner. I do not see anything you sent suggests she was a Skinner. Did I miss something? Richard

Dear Richard;

I will have to get back with you on susannah.. But I can tell you that I did speak with a man by the name of Jones who was doing his wife's family history.. But at the moment I can't remember who that was! Sorry!! I will have to go thru all my records and trace that back.. And then I will get back with you...
