ANYONE researching Seavers from Ireland??

Classification: Query
Surnames: Seaver, Dollard, Locke
I have posted something similar before, but I am curious to learn if there are ANY researchers on this list whose Seavers are known to have come from Ireland. I live in New Zealand, but I am Australian. My Seavers immigrated to Australia from Ireland in 1864. From what I can see, this list is made up of those whose Seavers immigrated from England or Germany to the U.S. Am I correct, or can someone tell me I am not alone???

My Nicholas Seaver/Seavers/Severs/Seever line is from :
Ballynachant, County Armagh, Ireland (settled - Ireland in 1650) (will made in 1687)
I have some of his descendants who went to Australia,if you need them.
Nicholas Seavers was originally from England under Lord Cromwell.
***********************************************
Nicholas Seaver Sr was the son of Richard (1682-1767) of Ballynachant, County Armagh, Ireland and unkn mother; no known siblings.
Richard was the son of Nicholas Seaver and unkn mother, a 2nd marriage for Nicholas.
Nicholas and unk mother had two children -- Richard and Nicholas, 1677-1687 and a sister unkn.
Richard's father Nicholas had Charles and Elinor by a first marriage w/ Elinor Symonds.
Here's where we get really old: Nicholas, son of Nicholas of England, was an officer selected to serve under Oliver Cromwell as a member of the Ironsides Calvary Regiment sent to reconquer Ireland in 1649.
In 1650 after the Irish troops were defeated, it is reported that Nicholas settled
in the townland of Trea, near Armagh, which he held under the Primate
of the See.
Nicholas was the issue of Nicholas of England, unk mother.
Nicholas of England and his brother, Charles, were officers in the English army who removed themselves from Ireland to Oxford in the 16th Century.
The Seaver brothers were reportedly speedy in their journey from Ireland at the
insistence of Hugh O'Neill who in 1598 near Armagh defeated an army sent to Ireland by Elizabeth 1st (Elizabeth Tudor, daughter of Henry VIII) to put down the Irish Rebellion.
This information apparently comes from a Saviers family history published in 1992 by John Saviers, 3265 S. Albion Street, Denver CO 80222.
******************************************************
***************************************************************************************
Nicholas Seaver settled in Dublin,Ireland in1650 and changed his abode to Ballaghy,County Armaugh,Ireland, where he held a much land in his own right under a Grant from Charles I.
It has been a tradition in the family that as an officer in the English Army,he came to Ireland with Cromwell's Army, but there has been no clue as to the
part of England from which he came !!!
**************************************************************************************
Other authorities think he was descended from ancestors who previously settled in Ireland.
Nicholas became a Protestant in 1650,having been a Catholic before that date.
His Will was dated 1687 and he died not long afterwards !!!

Hi,

Sorry for the delay in replying. My branch of the Seaver family is quite separate from yours - mine are the Seavers from County Dublin. These were the Irishs Seavers who always lived in the farming communities of north County Dublin. Yours were from England and they immigrated and settled in the north of Ireland, where Jonathan Seaver built Heath Hall, I think in the 1600's.. I can refer you to a couple of people I know who are from your side of the family, and also, a second Seaver family reunion is planned for later this year. The first one was in Dublin 3 years ago. Good luck with your research!
