Any tips on how to find out the distribution of the estate of a Dutch ancestor? Mine died quite young and left quite a of money and a young family orphaned. So far it has been impossible to find out how much money he left, who to and how and where the children were educated and raised.

What is his name ?? When and where did he pass ?? How do you know he had alot of money ?? Seems like you need a dutch researcher...

It all depends on the time period involved. There is a nationwide register of wills from 1890 to current times. A will is named a testament. See

For earlier wills you need the archive of 1 of the 12 state archives.
