As you can see I am a Lamerson, being of dutch descent is a surprise to me. I have been under the impression that the family came from the Alsace-Lorraine between France and Germany. I have only traced the Lamerson's to my gggrandfather who was born in Pennsylvania. I find a lot of Lamerson's in PA,NY,and NJ. but have been unable to tie them. My Father was Victor S.Lamerson b.1902,his father was Walter R. b. Ky 1868,his father, John b1831 KY, and his fat- her Jeremiah (Jerry) b.b. in PA. would appreciate any help!

Hi, The name Lamerson is spelled many ways which makes it hard to trace but it does go back to Holland, but I have not been able to trace it there. I have been very busy, but I will see if I can find you some information. The Lamerson went to NY than to NJ there they spread into PA. The name has changed many times. Lamerson, Lamberson, Lamerse, Lamerson, and some where in NJ it changed to Lamison which is my spelling. There is a french conection but not from the Lamerson, but from a wife Ester Parcel Married Conrad Lamerson in New Jersey she was of french and English. Hello. Were your Jeremiah and John involved in Iron foundries in the Shehandoah valley in 1850? Were there any other Lambersons or Lamersons named John?
