Are you talking about about legal documents like wills, etc.? And how is it used in the sentence? (name) hier natenoemen (function/role),.....

Then it means; hereafter to be called

The grammatically correct way to write it is; hierna te noemen.

If it is used in a different way, can you please either post a full sentence or attach a copy of such a document?

Kind regards,
Marianne

Hello (4N8WP?)

as Marianne already said, it is better to attach a scan of the document to your message to make sure we give you the right translation.

Greetings,
Irma

Thank you for the replies. Hi, again, to Irma!

Attached is the death record that I am working on. Jacob Bakker is my 3x Great Grandfather. The word "natenoemen" appears in type on the 6th line. I have the document translated well enough to understand. It is just that one word that I couldn't figure out.

Thanks, again, for the help!

Thanks for checking in, Irma. I'm sure I'll need more help soon, especially since my next two documents are completely handwritten.

Have a great day!
