Following the Circleville connection shows census listings for Jason Case, his wife, Mary, and their children (including a younger Jason (b. 1845) in Pickaway co., OH, from 1840 through 1880.

The occupation of the elder Jason in 1880 and 1870 is Justice of the Peace. In 1860 it appears to be "Pos master" with the letter 't' omitted. In 1860 sons, William and the younger Jason, are listed as printers.

Thanks for your reply. I have seen these people, but am looking for someone who would have been born ca:1780, so maybe a father of the elder man you mentioned.

Now that I have read the obit, I realize that is not the right man. I am interested in the Jason Case who appears in the 1850 census with the wife Julia. His parents are the ones related to the family I'm working on.
