All I know about her is that she was born 10 Sep 1910 and that she married a William F Powell sometime after 1930 in Detroit. I believe William worked on one of the automobile assembly lines. Hope this helps.

Ruth H McGaffey, not Ruth H Powell.
Ruth H McGaffey married William F Powell. I have checked the 1920, 1930, and 1940 cesuses for these two and not found them.
I was hoping that maybe someone had run across them in their research.
I think maybe they were both flying under the radar by choice.

If Ruth married William F Powell after 1930, then she would be reported as Ruth Powell in 1940.
