Holland's Methodist Church is Celebrating its Bicentennial Celebration this year (1812-2012) in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA

William Holland:
* Born: January 3, 1750 - Chester, England
* Died: December 4, 1809 - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA
* Married: Nancy Rhodes on March 31, 1806 - Wake County, North Carolina, USA

Looking for for any information on William Holland:
* From his time in England (1750-circa 1777)
* When did he come to America? (?1777)
* Did he fight in the American Revolution?
* From after the American Revolution to his death (1783-1809)

Why our church is named after William Holland (from his Will):
I Give $400 for the purpose of building a good Methodist meeting House that may have a partition at one end for thereof for a classroom and to be built on such piece of ground as will be convenient for my wife and the rest of the family.

Would you happen to know a Mark Holland born abt. 1786 in NC
He married Susannah Johnston on July 20, 1808 in Wake Co. Cannot seem to find his parents or where is was born, I'm thinking he was born in NC but not sure.

I haven't heard of William Holland. They have to be related some how.

I have no idea. Stories were told my husbands father that they were from Ireland. but I cannot get past Mark Holland. I know he married in NC on July 20, 1808 in Wake C., NC to Susannah Johnston. But I cannot find any info on where he was born, but some of the Holland trees on Ancestry have him being born abt. 1786 in NC.
