Were your father's Hipp family from Toledo?
If so, the only names we have from my husband's mother's family were these:
Madeline Blanche Hipp (m Fredercik J. Folger),
Frances Louise Hipp, and Worth Hipp Clegg (adopted after their mother's death), the children of Charles Atlanta Hipp and Gertrude Janney. By his second wife, Matilda Morvelius,
he had Mary and Louis Hipp.
Charles A. Hipp was born in Covington, Kenton Co., KY, c1860-1870. His father was William Hipp from Germany, who had 2 other brothers who also settled in Toledo:
Major Charles Hipp, who served during the Civil War in "C" Company, Ohio 37th Infantry and lost his left arm in the Battle of Ezra Church near Atlanta, m Mary ___?, no children;
and Dr. Augustus Hipp, m Carrie ___?, no children, admitted to the Toledo Medical Association in 1872 and was one of the founders of the Toledo Medical College in 1882.
