Looking for information on Zygmunt Jakubowski
brother of Adam Jakubowski from Lwow poland
prior to 1939.Both were patners in KS Jakubowski a publishing house in Lwow prior
1939.Zygmunt last known was in Warsaw during
the war,and had a business in Warsaw called
WARSZAWSKA FABRYKA EXTRAKTOW GARBARSKICH
43 Smocza Warsaw from 1935-1939

I have a possible connection in: Piwajczna,

Do you know if he or his family resided close to Ambridge/Pittsburgh Pennsylvania? I have a grandpa of the same name.

Hi there, I am researching Jakubowskis for a friend, and her father Stefan had an uncle Zigmund (sp?), born in Poland c1920s, son of Roman & Josephine Jakubowski. Could this be your grandfather? We don't know what happened to Zigmund.

I would also like information on Zygmunt. I realize this is a very old thread, however, I'm looking for more information about my mother's first husband. As best I can narrow it down, his SS# was issued in pennsylvania, and having been born c1920s seems about right from the little I know of him, so I think we might be talking about the same person.
He was married to my mother, and had passed on several years before my birth, I'm not sure of a date, not even a month, but am reasonably sure his death happened in the 1970's. He owned a shoe store on Lincoln Ave here in Milwaukee, Wi. This is basically everything I know about him.
He did have more than one child before he and my mother were married by one (or possibly more) woman.
I would love to know his birth date and location, along with any other info anyone can provide.

You might want to request his SS-5Form [costs $27] as that should have his place of birth and parents names. Your mother's church marriage record and state marriage application should provide you some more information
