I also have Kaschaks living in Cleveland, Ohio. I do not have John Joseph. My family originated from Andrejovka, Slovakia, near Orlov. Baptismal records have been found in LDS microfilm for Orlov. Contact me if I can help - wms12702@juno.com.

My name is John and I'm from Youngstown, Ohio. My dad had four brothers, and six sisters all from the Youngstown area. My dad, his brother Joe, and I used to go to the Cleveland Indians baseball games. I remember stoping to visit, I believe it was on the East Side. I remember a church up the street. Dad told me the people we visited were his cousins.
I hope this will help.
Thanks
Jack Kaschak

I was surfing the web and I stumbled onto this message board. Wayne and I are cousins and I am very interested to find more out about my grandfather from others that may have known him besides the family. Please post these if there is anyone who may have known him or my grandmother, or their sons, Ed (Wayne's father) or John Joseph Jr. (My father).
Sincerely, Jack Kaschak from Parma, OH

Do you have a birthdate for your uncle. Children were often named for grandparents and other family members, so cousins might have the same names and it gets very confusing to figure out who belongs to whom. Would be interested in your family info to see if it links with mine. Have Susana, Pete, Helen and Paul Kascak, born 1875- 1887 in (current) Slovakia, immigrated to US and lived in Ohio.

In 1971, we visited Cleveland to see a guy named Pete Kascak/Kaschak and his family
who was my Dads' uncle. We only stayed 4-5 hrs as my Dad had to get back home
(Wilkes-Barre, PA). I have been trying to recall that trip without much success. My Dad,
father and his brothers were from Mestisko.
