I have a Charity Skipper in the 1830 Brunswick, NC census. There are 2 males: under 5 and 5-10 and 4 females: 5-10, 20-30, 30-40 and 60-70.
Do you have any idea who this could be?
Charity Skipper (g-g-grandmother) married G.W. Brinsfield in Coweta Co, GA on November 30, 1836. We believe that she was born around 1805-1810? Her children were not sure weather she was born in NC, like G.W. Brinsfield, or in Georgia? I have a picture of her and her mother with G.W. after they were married and she and her mother both look to be native american. Any NC Skipper's marry a native american woman?
Also, these are the other Skipper's that I could find that married in Coweta Co, GA.:
SKIPPER HESSY SMITH SENDELL 29-Oct 1828
SKIPPER JOHN ADAMS JUDY 5-May 1832
SKIPPER HENRY HILL CATHERINE 4-Dec 1833
SKIPPER CHARLOTTE BOYET HARDY 15-Oct 1835
SKIPPER ELI COTTON RACHAEL 30-Jul 1836
SKIPPER CHARITY BRINSFIELD GEORGE 30-Nov 1836
SKIPPER EDA SMITH WILLIAM B 25-Jul 1837
SKIPPER BEIGHT PEOPLES ARTHUR 23-Jul 1848
SKIPPER HENRY HORSLEY SARAH E 18-Dec 1856
Are all these Skipper's related, they must be, but how?
Any help would be appreciated,
