I did not find an obituary for Cleoris.
I did a general search and found two items:

Dothan Eagle
Dothan, Alabama
Sunday, April 13, 1947

I believe the following is a list of voters printed in the paper. I included any of the "Word" names listed that I could find.

Thank you both for your assistance. That election info with Norman Word as the possible husband helped me find Norman & Cleoris both in findagrave, buried at Memory Hill Cemetery.
I did not find it there before since the lister named Cleoris as Minnie Cleoris Kelley. Minnie was only her mother's first name. No harm, no foul. Again, thank you both for your help.

Yes, I saw that also in the Eagle which is the first time I've seen it. SSDI has her name only as Cleoris K. Word. I only find Cleo or Cleoris used in the census records prior to 1940 when she was still single. Looks like a flip of a coin to decide if it was a nickname to perhaps honor her mother Minnie Rogers or a real name.

The Social Security Death Index:
---The "last residence" on the SSDI is NOT necessarily where a person actually lived or died. The Social Security Administration calls it simply the "home of record." It is not necessarily where any benefit was paid to the person,
survivor, or the lumpsum death benefit (in 1972 was paid to anyone paying burial expenses, family member, funeral home, city/county, attorney). It is sometimes the location where the notification of death was sent to the SSA, sometimes where the lump sum death benefit was sent.

Hello all !!
Just an FYI that I recieved the obit on Cleoris Word from the Dothan Eagle in Houston Co., AL. Although she was a longtime native of Houston Co., she lived her last 1 1/2 years in Salt Lake with one of her daughters before passing there. Her body was returned to Dothan for burial. Thank you to all that tried to help with suggestions.
