Does anyone know of an individual or local genealogy society that has access to the ALABAMA OLD VITAL RECORDS (DEATH CERTIFICATES) ON MICROFORM, specifically ROLL 1 containing all deaths for the period 1908-1916? If so, then please let me know.

I am trying to find a listing to confirm whether a death occurred for MRS. FRANCES ANGELEQUE (KILLEBREW) THWEATT, born 1840, died 1910 in Alexander City, AL. Her husband's name was Fletcher Grigsby Thweatt (born 1826) and I'm trying to find out whether he died in Alabama or in Texas where he later possibly moved. Also trying to find out the names and date of birth information for their children.

Would appreciate any suggestions of anyone that knows of a source to look (probate records, census, funeral records) that might help me verify what their residential address was. Thanks!

SINCERELY,

Surnames: Blake/Brewer/Milner
I'm looking for information concerning the death of my g grandmother. I don't have her first name but I believe her last name was Brewer.

She died within hours or days of an infant. Supposedly suicide. She orphaned several children, one being my grandfather, James Chalmas Blake. He was adopted by Oliver and Alice (Counts) Blake right after 1910 I believe.

He had some siblings, May Brewer (male) and a Ben who was adopted by the Milner's.

Anyone with any information can contact me at jblakster@earthlink.net

thanks a bunch!!

James
