Surnames: Brown, Hey
My mother's father grow up in Manistee. She never met him as the marriage to my Grandmother (Henrietta Curry Brown b. 1908)fell apart in 1930. She remarried and did not tell my mother for 16 years. I have several request. Any information on Percy M Brown b. 1899 Illinois but was in Manistee by the 1910 census, Obit's on Martin M Brown, Minnie Hey Brown, her father Edward Hey who lived with them in 1910, and Percy Monroe Brown. Did Percy Brown remarry? Any pictures in papers? She has never seen her father. Any pictures of the house at 31 Arthur St, is it still there? I have some picture that are unlabeled but have no Idea is it is Manistee or even that family. Any Help is greatly appreciated.

I realize this may not help much, but I wanted to tell you that my GGgrandparents (on both sides actually) lived in Manistee from about 1880 to 1915 time period. August and Auguste Kottke lived at 21 Arthur St, and John and Dora Kuhn lived on Quincy St. Those streets intersect and the family story is that my grandparents met while visiting their grandparents, as they lived across the street from each other.

My Aunt visited Manistee earlier this year and the Kuhn house on Quincy is still standing. I believe she said the house at 21 Arthur is too, but I'll verify that and get back to you. If she has a photo of the 21 Arthur, we can Google Maps your ancestors address and use our photo as a point of reference, because the addresses are usually a tad bit off on Google Maps Street View.

That is so nice of you. I have made some progress. I have gotten all the obits and even contacted cousins. They are nice but dont have the genealogy obsession I have, I may have to go there or hire a genealogist
