I noticed the name Irene Ryss listed as a sophomore. My paternal grandfather's name was Ryss before he immigrated to U.S. from Finland. He had a half-brother who also immigrated, but to what part of the U.S. I don't know, and I wondered if this Irene would be related to him. Where is Grantsburg? This is really a long shot.

Grantsburg is near the west border of Wisconsin. If you look at a map of Wisconsin it almost looks like the profile of a person looking west. Grantsburg is about at the tip of the nose. :)

I see where Grantsburg is in Wisconsin. I live in Ca. but my relatives live in Ironwood, Mi. and we used to live in Milwaukee. Do you know anything about the Irene Ryss listed in the yearbook? Is it possible to contact her? Perhaps I am related to her through my grandfather's brother.
