I believe the Saul you are speaking of is Solomon Harris born 30 May 1888, died 29 August 1956. He was married to Caroline Lucindy Summerford, born 18 August 1878.
I have read where a Solomon Harris worked for the Summerford Pottery Co near Bexar on the MS/AL state line during the 1920's and 30's I believe.
Solomon was a brother of my great grandfather Richard "Rich" Lafayette Harris (b. 1886 d. 1972)
I know that Solomon's parents are buried at James Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Itawamba Co. MS
His parents were William Henry and Nancy Jane Sanderson Harris. Solomon's grandparents were Leroy Maldin and Margaret/Margret A. Friday Harris. I visited James Creek Cemetery just last week and took photo's of their gravesites if you'd be interested in me emailing them to you. Not sure where Solomon is buried but I'm sure I could find out ...

Obituary;

Soloman W. Harris, who was injured on Aug. 18, 1956, when a car driven by Herman D. Thompson of Memphis, Tenn., plowed into a wrecked car near the Tombigbee River bridge, died Aug. 29, 1956 at the Tupelo Community Hospital. Mr. Harris sustained a fractured skull in the double wreck as the Thompson car hurled the wrecked car into a crowd of on lookers. He has been in the Tupelo Hospital since that time. He was a farmer of the Cherry Tree Community, and had lived in Itawamba County all of his life.
Funeral services were held Aug. 30 from the Hopewell Methodist Church with Hawkins Funeral Home of Fulton in charge.

Richard lafayette Harris is my Grandfather. Verol Harris is my father. It is sad that we lose contact with cousins. I have first cousins that I haven't seen in years.

OK...Last time I saw Uncle JB and Mary "Nell", was at the funeral of Uncle JB's wife a few years ago. It was near Smithville I think. You have cousins in Savannah Ga. I have two daughters, and four Grand children.
I would love to know more about my ancestors, but I'm not very good at tracing family trees. Your Great Grandmother, as you know, was Florence Harder. I have often wonder about her lineage. She had long black hair. I always wondered if she was of Indian descent.
Great talking to you. Thank you for your hard work.

I'm on facebook....Jerry Harris...Savannah Georgia.
