I am looking for ANY information on Frederick William Taylor known as Fred. Born circa 1922/23 I believe in Nottingham but possibly may have been elsewhere. His father's name is given as Edward James Taylor on the marriage certifiacte of his first marriage which was to Dora Bowring and which ended in early divorce. He is beleived to have remarried later on and to possibly have had more children. His descendents may or may not know about his first marriage. He was a Bricklayer at the time of his marriage in 1943 and lived in Carlton in Nottingham. He served in the Black Watch in WW2. There may or may not be a scottish connection..possibly with Edinburgh. Any information to enable me to trace this line of my family history would be much appreciated.

Hi , Well it's several years on and no reply. I am still trying to trace this line. I have the following further info Fred was born 25th April 1922 In Carlton Nottingham, married to Dora Bowring and divorced by 1948 when he remarried to one Mildred Stiff. They later divorced. He may have married again or not. He lived variously in the home counties and London and later ended up back in Nottingham where he passed away in 2011. There is approx 40 years of which we know nothing he may have other children out there. His father was Edward James Taylor born 1884 approx and born in Nottingham accordin got the 1911 census. His mother was Ellen/Ellen Ann or Helena Cheetham believed to be the daughter of Harriet Cheetham , father unknown but step father was Henry Balchin Hosiery Maker. Any info at ll would be brilliant. It is known that Fred had several siblings there must be someone out there with some info ! :-)
