Royal Grant

I wondered if anyone could help me. I am researching my family tree and have come across a relative i didn't know i had. Whilst corresponding with her she mentioned that her father (my great uncle) and his father before him and so on were in receipt of a royal grant up until 1945. This Royal Grant was for £30 a year and was given because an ancestor helped charles II escape from worcester in approx 1655. The Royal Grant was supposedly stopped along with many others in 1945 by Mr Attlee and the Labour Government. Does anyone know where i might be able to find any other information , I have searched and searched to no avail, please help. Many thanks Nicola.

Hi, yes thanks I have checked that out but that just mentions the pendrills, the name i am enquiring about is Dean (unless of course the story we got told is wrong and it didn't just stay down the male line)
