My Great Grandmother recently died and I am trying to do some family research. Her name was Daisy Dean Hatch at birth. She was born on Nov. 9, 1895 in Heber City, Wasatch, Utah. Her parents names were Joseph Clyde Hatch and Joanna Hathenbrook. I am trying to find out anything I can about her parents. The family was Mormon and I think that someone in our family has done genealogy on this side of the family, But I am having a hard time finding out anything. Could someone Please help me. P.S. My Great Grandmother married a man named Ralf G. Hick born on Jan. 16, 1893 in Vernal, Uintah, Utah.

My grandmother was Harriet Gertrude McCarrel who married Arthur Adam Rich, grandson of Apostle Charles Coulson Rich. One of the two families was related to the Hatch family. Unfortunately, in quickly flipping through my records I can't find mention of Hatch. My mother talked about them a lot. Perhaps my grandmother's sisters married into the Hatch family. She talked about two aunts -- "Dode" and "Lide" (those were her baby-talk names for them). I tend to think they were the Hatch side. I made a trip to Vernal in 1972 and visited some Hatches. My mother was born in Vernal (Uintah Co.) in 1910. Her mother married my grandfather in Vernal on January 18, 1899. I know I have something around here that refers to the Hatch family. When I find it I'll look you up again.

Your grandmother, Harriet Gertrude's sister was Eliza Margaret. She, Eliza, married Hezekiah Alvin HATCH on 3 Dec 1900 (According to the Pedigree Resource File on www.familysearch.org Submission Number: 1938928-0601105173920. I, too, am working on our McCarrel lines and I just happened to be searching these old posts and ran across your message. 1999...I'm sure you've already found this name since then :)
