Arntson Family History

Denise,
We probably played together as children. I
remember visits to great-grandmother Caroline's
house in the Moorlands. I also remember walking
to Mabel and Melvin's store to buy pop and
penny candy. I also remember Melvin playing
the fiddle for us.

My mother is Geraldine "Jerrie" (Arntson)
(Miller) Morrow. Her father was Johnny Arntson,
older brother to Melvin, Magnus and Rose. I talk
to your aunt Amber every now and then on the
phone.

Do you know of anyone in the family who is doing,
or has done, any extensive research into the
Arntson family tree? I have traced back to Johan
and Magdalena Arntson, who immigrated to Minnesota
in 1875 or '76. I am trying to find out where,
exactly, they came from in Norway.

Thank you for your response, it was great to
hear from you, it has made me think of very
happy times.

Allen Miller.

Hi Allen
Yes, we probably did play together when we were young. I don't know of anyone doing the family tree. I don't remember great grandma caroline, but I sure remember Johnny. We use to visit him alot. Yes, my granfather played the fiddle all the time while grandma ran the store. We got a nickel free everyday to spend at the store and we thought that was really something. It was great hearing from you. keep in touch, Denise

Hello...i dont know if this is still checked. I am Steve Arntsons Daughter. Melvin & Mabel were my Great Grandparents. A little correction, Steve & Scotts parents were not Melvin & Mabel. Melvin & Mabel were their grandparents. Their parents names were Archie (Melvin & Mabels son) & Barbara. Steve & Scott also had an older sister named Denise. Denise had 5 children. Steve (my dad) had 2, and Scott had 2.

Hi,

Thanks for the corrections! This is Lynn, Your great grandfather, Melvin and my grandfather, Magnus were brothers. Do you know about the store they owned?

I guess we are cousins of some type. I knew your dad but not well. What is your first name? Do you think we ever met? I went to Inglemoor High School, not with your dad, Steve and Scott who went to Bothell. Your dad and uncle probably remember me and my brothers Chris and Mark.
It would be fun to chat if you like.
I'm on facebook under the name Lynn Arntuffus.
