My mother's maiden name was Benkula. Her father's name was Louis and her mother's name may have been Stella. Do these names match up with anyone out there? My mother died when I was in my teens so the information I have is very hazy.

I think you are my cousin! Was your mother Delia? I can answer for only 2 weeks from now. Please reply.

I just read your message today. We've been having computer problems here.
Yes, my mother was Delia. I thought perhaps that you were my cousin Kay. I was 3 years old the only time we met....needless to say, that was a few years ago.
I've been surprised to learn of all the Benkula's that lived in this area. I live in Valley Center, Kansas (which is just north of Wichita.) There are several stone buildings in the surrounding counties and I wonder if they were built by Benkula's.
I have lost both of my parents and also my sister Kathy. So now it really just Barbara and myself.
It was pleasant to hear from you. I look forward to hearing from you again.

Oh, Kris! I am so glad to find you! I have looked for you and your sisters for years. I sent you a big E-mail right away but it was returned as undeliverable. Use mine and tell me a better address for you so I can write you privately. I have many family records and stories to share with you.
So sorry about your losses in the family. It is the same here.
Maybe you can connect me with Barbara Jean too, and I can get through to you another way. I do not understand the problem of delivery to you. I read cemetery records in France and have no problem. And they are your records also. Keep trying to reach me by E-mail.
You have made me sooooo happy!

Would love to have more information on Caroline Freund and Ludwig Eulert if available. My records from family members say they are both buried at Clarks Creek Cemetery, Junction City, KS is this correct?

Stella & Louise were my grandfather's parents. My grandpa & his dad (Louise) built St Paul's Lutheran Church. And in..1986(?) my grandpa went back to Kansas to make a stone marker out front. He move to Twin Falls Idaho a long time ago & that is where all of us are! Benkula!

If you are still interested in information on the Eulert/Freund families family please contact me. I am a distant relative and live in Junction City, KS and the cemetery on Clark's Creek is just outside of town. Almost everyone buried there is related in one fashion or another.
