Ms Williamson,

I am Lindsey Love in Baton Rouge, LA. I am descended from Arsene Bynog (Bayanogue and variations). As far as I can tell, this is the OFFICIAL web page for the Four Winds, who have legally changed the name to the Ketoowah of Louisiana. I really need some info on my side of the Bynog's, specifically Arsene's first husband and Arsene's father's side of the family. If you could share anything with me I would be very grateful. Here is the web address for the Four Winds Ketoowah:

My mother was Emma Catherine Bynog whose father was Augusta Bynog and Mother Annie from the pineville area. Who was your mother or father? don't know anything about the Indian Tribal connection but will assist if I can.

Hannah,
Hi! Most people know me as Melissa Bynog, although I just remarried and my last name is now Swanson. I think you have either a cousin, siter, or aunt named Melissa Bynog. I know she's married now, but I used to get all of her mail. I lived in the Keithville area when this happened. Just thought I'd say hi!

Thanks for the message. I believe that you and I are related. My mother, Emma, had a brother Sam and sisters Isabelle, Dorothy, and Ida. Like you I remember visiting them as a young child. My last visit around 1965 or so, due to the death of my Mother' mother. Since we lived in Mississippi as children we had little contact with this part of the family. My mother kept in contact with her family mostly by letters. I think that her last visit was back in the 1980s. My mother died in 1991 when I was overseas during the war in Kuwait. I have made a career of the Army; entering in 1978 after college and still serving. My brother is researching the Bynog family and I will pass this information on to him. I will give you a call soon. Thanks again.
