looking for lenore c colegrove from penn. married hiram (i believe). lenore found in mi 1900,1910. daugh Minnie married james laidlaw. need lenore's maiden name,any dates etc. also need husband information and any other children. lenore was found with george laidlaw and sister hazel in 1900. geo is my grandfather

His father was Andrew Colegrove. I have Hiram born 3-26-1836 in Canisteo, Steuben Cty., NY

Was just looking through old messages and came across yours. I hope you have
found the info you were looking for, but in case you haven't here is what I
have in my database.

Leonora Constantia Phinney, b. 15 Sep 1845,d. 18 Dec 1925, m.about 1865,
Hiram Colegrove,b. 27 Nov 1839 d. 1 Aug 1909 Hale Lake, Iosco, MI, son of
John N. Colegrove and Ann Gowdy.

I have a record of 3 children born to this couple
Minnie May Colegrove, b. 2 Aug 1866 , MI
William Henry Colegrove, b. 12 Apr 1868, MI
Henry E. Colegrove, b. 1869, WI

1880 Census of Tawas, Iosco, MI has listed
Hiram Colegrove, self, 40yrs
Leonora, wife, 35yrs
Minnie M., dau, 14yrs
Henry E., son, 11yrs
Cynthia Phinney, m-in-law, 67yrs

Hiram was in the Civil War and is listed in the 1894 Michigan Vetrans
Schedual in Plainfield Township, Iosco, MI ID#4978

I do not have any information on the childrens marriages or their children,
but do have some on Hirams Parents and siblings

Surnames: Colegrove, Barrett
My grandmother's maiden name was Hazel Colegrove, I believe she was born in pennsylvania and went to college for one year before marrying my grandfather Leon Barrett in Bath, NY.

Oh my gosh....I just found this as I retired and decided to get back into finding genealogy information. I have Minnie Mae Colegrove Laidlaw's information traced down to the current generation. I have the Laidlaw's information back to the 1700's and have letters from Thomas Laidlaw from Scotland. I went to Tawas City and reviewed the land records and found where a land transfer was done which confirmed Lenores relationahip to Hiram.

I do not have any information from Hiram back in his tree and did not have much for Lenore except her maiden name Phinney.

Whatever information you might be able to give me would be very welcomed. I am not too savvy with the computer but if you want information I would be happy to send hard copies. I had to redo my family tree because the computer crashed in 2004. I am going to resubmit it under family tree maker which I understand will got to either geneology.com or ancestry . com.
