Burline, have you looked under familysearch.org, a "service" of the Mormon church? By the way, I have also been interested in finding out more about Cremeen.
I think our grandmothers were sisters!Pauline

I don't have an Effie on my list but I know my gmother(Minnie Lee Cremeen Smith) talked alot about an Effie. Cremeen and Smith gparents were both from Neshoba Co.,moved to Kosciusko and are buried in Coleman's Cem. in McAddams along with unmarried children F.Mitchell Smith(1920-42) and Golda Smith(1926-41)

Pauline,
I apoligize for taking so long to reply but.. Who is your grandmother? Mama Smith passed away in 1986 at 92. Her son Norman Norris Smith (9-4-1912/2-1-1996) was my father. We lived most of the time in Mobile so I didn't know alot of Daddy's relatives. I do remember going several times to Uncle Fred's home. I think it was near Weir, MS. All of my sisters and I were born in Kosciusko MS.

I am not sure if there is a connection, but my mother's was born Effie Irene Cremeen Barhnardt in 9-11-22 to Asa Barnhardt and Emma Lou Cremeen. My grandmother, Emma Lou, was from Philidelphia,MS. Her mother's name was Mary Love and her father's name was Thomas. I know she had two sisters, Annie and Susie; she also had some brothers. One named Curtis, one named Thomas, and I can't remember the other. They lived for some time in Marianna,AR. I would be interested if there is a connection.
