I am also a Dace, my father was Ernest Dace, the brother of Seth Dase (who died about two years ago). I know that there are a lot of Dases in the area, we are one of the few that spell our name with a (C). Are we related? I'm looking for information on my grandfather Lase Dace.

Thanks for the reply. I guess we are first cousins! I've been in contact with my aunts in Pachuta (we went for a short visit earlier this year). Unfortunately it does not seem to be a lot known about our grandfather. I did visit the family cemetery for the first time during Uncle Seth's burial and that was a real eye opener.
