I am descended from Daniel Easler, b. 1811 Fairfield County, SC and Cecilia Blanche Dawkins of Fairfield County, SC. Daniel was from Spartanburg County, and was descended from Jacob Easler, Spartanburg- if this connectws let me know and I will share and possibly put you in touch with other Easlers from SC.

I was born Donna Kay Easler, my grandparents, are
from Spartanburg,S.C. My grandfather was
Luther Blanton Easler. I still have many
family members in Spartanburg. I had never
known that there were Easlers in other States
because I have lived in many diffent states, and
until about 20 years ago I never saw another
Easler in the phone book outside of S.C.

Daniel Easler was not from Spartanburg, neither
was his brother Jacob. Both were born in what is
now Orangeburg County, SC. Jacob went to Spartanburg
and fathered 7 sons. Daniel stayed in the Columbia, SC area.
I am a decendent of Jacob - Oscar Easler

I had not heard of the Orangeburg connection. Do you have anything on the parentage of Daniel/Jacob? Thanks Guerry

I have been e-mailing Oscar Easler, from
this bulletin board. He is writting a book
about Easlers. I gave him a little info,
general stuff about our family. If you are
still interested in this, you might want to
send him a message. He say's we are third
cousins, twice removed. What ever that means.
I never could figure out how that works.

Thanks, Kay
