My information on the Iowa connection comes fomr the SSDI. What I have for sure is the Carrie Clara (M) Eichinger b October 1873 in Meigs County Ohio, married Peter Eiselstein b May 1867 in Meigs County Ohio. I have listed two daughters Dora Mae and Norma E. both 1897 and 1898. Carrie Clara (M)Eichinger was a sister to my grandfather. I would like to make a connection here if possible. Thanks, keep in touch. John

I have Eiselsteins in my family, but I can't make a connection. They are from Pomeroy, Meigs County, Ohio. Meigs County has a good web site, a great list serve, and wonderful volunteers. They have several histories of Meigs County that might provide a good family connection. Mark Meinhart at meinhartstock@usa.net is also interested in Eiselsteins and is head of the Meigs County list serve. Another source of Eiselstein information is Gene at Genegriz@aol.com.
I have a lot of Eiselsteins listed at
http://www.familytreemaker.com/users/e/l/b/John-K-Elberfeld/
Hopefully one of these will work for you. Best of luck.

PS. Any information on the Eiselsteins and Elberfelds is always welcome.
