I am looking for information about my grandfather, John Clement Erhardt and other members of the Erhardt family.. He lived most of his life in Harriman, New York. He was married to Emily Hunt Redner and they had a daughter named Mina Elizabeth Erhardt Jess, who was my mother. My grandparents died in the early 1930's in Harriman, N. Y. Thanks for any help.

I am trying to locate Lawrence Erhardt. His parents were Mary Elsie Otis and Fred/Fredrick Erhardt. Mary E. was from Orange County New York and moved to Baltimore, MD with her husband where she died in 1920 giving birth to twins. One twin boy died at birth, but the other Lawrence survived. Wanting to find Lawrence and any family he may have.

Could the John Clement Erhardt you are looking for be the son of William Erhardt b 11 Apr 1837 d 17 Feb 1913 Baltimore, Md, wife Johanna ?. Their children were Wilhelmina, William, Louisa, Otto, Frederick, and John. The family of Frederick C. Erhardt included children, Frederick, Mary, Alverta, Clement, Arthur, and Wilhelmina. They lived in the Harriman area and later moved back to Baltimore, Md. where they were originally from.

Haven't gotten back the death certificate for my grandfather, John Clement Erhardt, so I don't know if there is a connection. However,I have been reading letters dated October 1930, my father wrote before my parents were married. He mentions an Uncle Will, who lived in Baltimore but was visiting Harriman. The letter also mentioned an Uncle Fred. Am still reading the rest of these letters. Will let you know what I find out.

From your information, I am sure there is a connection. I have recently received information to verify this.
William Erhardt b 11 Apr 1837, wife Johanna, d 17 Feb 1913 Baltimore, Md.
Children, Wilhelmina, William, Louisa, Otto, Frederick, John.

Frederick Clement Erhardt b 17 Jun 1871, wife Mary McGaney, d 10 Jan 1951 Baltimore, Md
Children, Frederick, Mary, Alverta, Clement, Arthur, Wilhelmina.

Frederick Jr. son of Frederick Clement 1st wife was Mary Elsie Otis daughter of John and Eugenia Otis of Harriman, NY. Mary Elsie died in childbrith 11 Apri 1920 with one of her infant twin sons. Frederick Sr. took his family to the Harriman, NY area just after the turn of the century and the whole family returned to Baltimore about 1915. The surving twin, Lawrence Otis Erhardt died in 1942. Frederick Jr. remarried after Mary Elsie died, to May Minifee. They are all buried in the Erhardt family plot purchased by Frederick Sr. at New Cathedral Cemetary, Baltimore, Md.

I can't help you with any of your names. I have found the line I had been looking for, but to late. The Erhardt I was searching for died at age 23 putting an end to that line. Good luck in your search.
