We are conducting a search for our sister Gwen Gallentine (we are not sure of the spelling of her last name as it could be spelled Galentine, Galantine, etc.), but we making a start. She would be about 57 yrs. of age today. Gwen was born in Hawaii in 1942, was being cared for by Uncle "Buck" and Aunty Martha, who later adopted Gwen. At about age 4 Gwen left for Ohio (we believe) with who we knew as "Uncle Buck's" mother and father (the Gallentines(?)) by way of the Lurline. Our last recall of our sister Gwen is that she has blondish hair, sky blue eyes, and a beautiful freckled face. We last heard that she was in California and later moved to Las Vegas. She has brothers and sisters who crave to have her back in our lives. We will be posting this same message at the "Galentine" and "Galantine" surname message boards. We are praying that we find her.

I am looking for information about my great-grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Gallentine. They were from Oklahoma and were born in about 1890-1900. My great-granddmothers name was Mary but I don't know my Great-Grandfathers name. He died very young with a genetic disease. They traveled from Oklahoma to California I believe during the depression. They also had about 7 children. One being my deceased grandmother Irma.

My beloved uncle, Oren (nicknamed Jiggs)Gallentine, was born of Donald Mary Gallentine in or near Apache Ok. about 1920. I believe your Great Grandmother Irma was his sister. My memories of uncle Jiggs are very special.My father was "LEO" the baby of the family.I can still picture Uncle Jiggs playing the guitar.He is loved and missed very much.I have pictures of the Gallentine family from the 1920's 1930's

Do you have any knowledge of Alonzo
Gallentine. I am told he was my gf. I am told
he lived in Olk.at one time, then moved to
Ind. My grandmother said when he died she had
him shipped by rail back to Olk. for burial.
He would have died around the early 1900's.
I think he was married to a Henderson at one
time, then to Jennie Bostic. I don't know
how old he was but was told he died young.

My greatgrandmother had a brother , DW Gallentine, who moved to Apache Junction. Her name was Hester Elizabeth, dau of Hamilton. She was born in IND and died in TX.
