My name is Sharon. My Grandfather on my moms side was Joseph Lawrence Gastelum. His family was among the first settlers to old town San Degio. This is all I know from his obit. I know he had some siblings. I am trying to do any research I can to show our herritage. However he put White on his application for a social security number way back when. Now I am trying to get his birth certificate. My Grand mother was a Fuentes, I have her birth record that has her listed as Mexican. My mothers name is PatBelinda, and she has two living brothers JayCharles and Steven Michael Gastelum. Sister Dorthy Gastelum, can't remember married name is deceased. I found most of my info from the California social security death index.

Looking for a person by the name of Luis Gastelum who might be related to a Alejandro Lara. On my grandfather's (Alejandro) burial record in 1930 at The Calvary Cemetery in Los Angeles, California it shows the person who made the burial services was a Luis Gastelum. Was told Alejandro was from Aquas Calientes, Mx. Is it possible that your Luis Gastelum is the one in question?
