I am Searching for any family ties to the Halverson family to which my Paternal Grandfater belonged.
He was born Albert Encell Halverson but changed his name from Halverson to Hall (for unknown Reasons)
I know that the family immigrated to the US from Sweden around the turn of the century and that there
were 6 boys and 2 girls in the family; namely Fred, Arthur, Albert, Ernie, Elsie, Len, Syd, and Alice.
I know my Grandfather was born on 13 Sept,1903 and resided in Washington State for most of his life
with some time in Oregon. Professionally, he was in the Timber Industry as a loger and later in a
management role at CrownZ in Woodland Washington. He died in Feb, 1984. He married Ella Catherine Bell
on 4 Jan, 1926. They had 3 sons, Richard Norman Hall, Roland Alfred Hall and James Encell Hall.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

It is ironic that you have the name Encell listed as a middle name. The family of Encell
Ensell have a tendency to use this name as a middle name by the female Encells. To keep the name preserved. Who is Alberts Mother?
Will be waiting to hear from you.

In my Famioly tree I have a Kenneth Halverson
who married Ardeth Ann Gilbaugh in Bancroft IA
His parents were Charles Albert Halverson and
Matilda Nelson. Also there are Halls in the
Family too. Vina Gilbaugh (1869-1935) married
Sam Hall (1864-1938) and had 9 children, Mildred,
Glenn, Hazel, Neva, Cecil, Sylvia, Vincel, Ruby,
and Erlis. Also John W. Gilbaugh (1856-1930)
married Ida A. Hall (1859-1912). They had 6
children, 3 boys and 3 girls.
Does any of this help? I am still working so
if you have any info on these members of the
family, let us share the info.

I am probably fishing here, but the middle name in your request is Encell. My great grandmother was Clara Encell, born in Illinois (not confirmed) in 1854. Died March 1929, in California. Do you have any leads whatsoever on the family name of Encell in the United States????????

I don't know if this is the right person that you are looking for in my family. My great-grandfather's brother was Albert Halverson (November 27, 1896). Most of the family lives around Spokane Washington.

That is my great grandfather. I would love to get any information about his family. We've just hit dead ends. Albert (Nov 27, 1896) maried Elenor Margaret Studer in Spokane on Nov 11, 1923. He had 3 sons, one lives in Washington, the other 2 lived in Idaho. Both the sons in Idaho are deceased-- Robert Halverson and Duane Halverson. Please contact me. Thanks.

Hi some info you don't know...grandpa hall was never an encell till he changed his name...he chose encell for a middle name after a Hungarian man he admired... He had a long string of middle names including per meaning peter and emanual.....he told me that the reason he changed his name was something to do with the Wobblies and the union wars in the logging industry.. What exactly...he didn't say.....grandma hall said he had been black balled and couldn't get work at sometime in his logging carreer..... Grandpa, the wild child, was very cryptic about that time of his life....did you know that he dissapeared for a year...no one, not even his mother knew where he was....mom told me that.....I'm still learning new things about him.... Hope this helps....you still have some info that is wrong.....we will talk later.... Cousin barbie, jim's daughter....
