Searching for info on Joe Heird that wed
Elenor M. Rhoden from South Carolina.
I think they married around 1880 in Ark.
Any help would be great!

Hi,

When and where was Joe HEIRD born?

My HEIRD ancestors are from Meigs County, TN.

There were 4 brothers, Simon Monroe, William
B., Newton L. and John Riley HEIRD. Their
mother's name is Francis.

Simon Monroe moved to Rhea County, TN. Don't
have anything on William B. except that he
was married and divorced. Don't have any
descendant's for him.

Does any of this sound familiar?

Would like to share info with you.

In the census records the name has been
spelled HERD, HEARD, HIRD, HURD and I did
find a reference to HEIRD (from Germany) in
one of the records.

Happy hunting,
Donna

Elenor Rhoden. They had four children:
Bertha, Gilford, Maude, and Sada.
I'm searching for info on any of the above.

Do you possibly have any info on Simon Monroe that moved to Rhea Co., TN? I have been searching for my gg grandmother, Melinda Frances Herd but to no avail. Then the other day I came across a photo postcard from the late 1800's or very early 1900's address to my grandfather, Samuel L. Duncan from a Berdie Heird. Samuel's mother, Melinda Herd and his father Noah Duncan lived in Rhea Co., TN before moving to TX. I have always assumed that Noah and Melinda were married in Rhea Co., TN around 1875-1876. Their first child, John Elbert was b. in Rhea Co., TN. Spring City area.

If any of this sounds familiar I would greatly appreciate any help you could give me.

Sincerely,

Pam Caldwell

May have some information on Joshua Joseph Heird who was married to "Ellen" Rhoden. He was son of Melinda Imbeau Heird and Thomas Heird. Does this sounds like yours?

Hi Taz,

It's good to hear from someone else that is reasearching the HEIRDs.

Are you a descendant of Simon Monroe HEIRD? If so, we are double cousins as Simon Monroe and John Riley HEIRD married FLOYD sisters...

John Riley HEIRD is my grandfather...

Would love to swap info with you.
