I JUST FOUND A SITE LAST NIGHT WITH MY G.G.GRANDFATERS ENTIRE FAMILY. IT WAS A SHIPS LIST WITH SEVERAL ISAAK'S. THE WEB SITE IS http://pixel.cs.vt.edu/library/ships/link/mindiv.txt
THERE ARE MANY GERMAN FROM RUSSIA SITES. IF YOU KNOW THEIR RELIGION IT CAN BE A BIG HELP. MY G.G.GRANDFATHER WAS ABRAHAM ISAAK. HIS SON WAS JAKOB ISAAK. FOR YEARS I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR ISAACS (THE WAY MY MAIDEN NAME WAS SPELLED) BUT IN JUST 3 GENERATIONS IT CHANGED 3 TIMES. PLEASE CONTACT ME IF WE ARE CONNECTED OR IF YOU WOULD JUST LIKE TO SHARE SITES. THANKS AND GOOD LUCK. JILL

Thank you for the information. I will look up those
ship records. I was looking for them. I don't think
there is any connection between us. But that does not
mean we can't correspond. My G Grandma was born in
S.Dakota. Her father was Jacob Isaak born in Kulm, Russia
His father Gottlieb Isaak born in Kulm. His father Karl born
in Pobiantz, Poland. His father born in Brandenburg, Germany.
I have received alot of this information from a family member.
Also from the Family search program from our church.
I am still looking for information for Amanda Isaaks mother.
I know that her name is Katharine Allmer and Her fathers name
might be Michael.

Christian was married to Wilhelmina. Gottlieb married Christina Beich in 1881. They moved to Gnadenfelt from Kulm and lived there for 5 years. Gottlieb immigrated to the US in 1886 taking his family, parents and brother, (Gottfried) along with him. For more information, e-mail me at rgekie@ptialaska.net

Hi Janet
Read your message. Not sure what information you are seeking. Have a couple of references such as Abraham died by being struck by lightening but I have not birth or death dates. You gggf Jacob and wife Maria Quiring had at least 8 children but in my source there is no detail of the records for your ggf Cornelius. The record stops there so you have data that I don't have.
Are you familiar with the GRANDMA project. It is where I got my data. If interested let me know.

Have not checked if we are connected but always willing to help those who are searching as other help me.
Ron You can email direct to teched@direct.ca
